So... Medieval...

And that's OK with me. Medieval never sounded so great!

The melodies definitely sound medieval, but at the same time are very catchy, and extraordinary. I liked the piano melody a lot, it fit so well with the name. The flute melodies were epic too, and the instruments you used here were perfect. The choir voices in the background gave a mighty feel to the song as well, which sounded so awesome.

When it comes to transitions, this song is fantastic. I liked the bell-like instrument that came in first at 0:05; it made great transitions throughout the whole song, and was really cool. The structure was very good too, and it didn't repeat itself at all, so the song never got boring. Very nice intro, and the ending was really good too. The part during about the middle of the song where the rythm slowed down a bit was great too. Excellent job!

I noticed a few drums around here, like the booming reverbed kick in the background. That was awesome. The small crash cymbal was cool too. I don't think you need to add any more drums than that, it sounds great as it is ^^.

What can I say? Another superb song. It's <enter hugely complimenting word here>. Darn it, I used so many that I'm out of compliments :(. Oh well, keep up the flawless work!

Pretty well done :D

I quite liked this. Not such a bad job :D.

The melodies are nice and catchy. I liked the first melody you introduced most, although they all sounded great. I loved your choice of instruments too, they were great. Good use of vocals too, but as Soapbubble said, you only used two quotes, so you should look for a few more. I watched Spiderman, and if I had the DvD with me, I could easily point out some dramatic quotes for you :P. Also, the second quote should be louder, I think. The first was all clear, but I could barely understand the second one.

The transitions were quite well done, and the use of vocals to go from one melody was cool. Very good song structure as well, and great variety. The intro and ending were great; I never knew simple quotes could sound so good to begin and end a song.

The drums were awesome, spread out well in the song, had great samples and were very nicely varied. No problem with the drums, they were superb.

Good job on it in general. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Spiderman FTW! :P

thanks for the awesome review, your club rocks. i get bombed alot so it is nice to get all of these great reviews :D.

Original.

You've got my first review on industrial songs. Wish me luck...

The melodies are very unique, and like nothing I've heard of before (take that in a good way :P). A little strange overall, but I actually found some of the melodies to be quite catchy. Unique instruments too, and overall they sound quite good together.

The transitions were OK. Nothing too special, but in all the song flowed nicely for a glitchy song, and new instruments were introduced very well too. The structure of the song is quite good too, and it didn't get that repetitive either. I liked the intro, it felt glitchy but great at the same time. The ending came in a little too abruptly, and using the note that you did, I expected it to loop, instead. Maybe it could sound better as a loop, so you could try removing the silence at the end.

The drums were varied quite well, and the samples weren't too bad. I just didn't like the cymbal you used which first came in at 0:14. Actually it sounds a lot like the default FL preset :P. Other than that, the drum samples were OK, if not just slightly generic.

In all, quite a unique sounding song. Not really something I'd enjoy, but I guess that's my taste, I suppose.

BudGPStudios responds:

I don't think the cymbal at 0:14 was a preset, but I don't remember. But like I said, this was originally just an experiment. Didn't expect it to be too original sounding.

Thanks, and good job on your first industrial review.

Another very relaxing song :P.

Wow. I despise relaxing songs, but this is awesome. Really good job on it, I enjoyed it.

The melody is so calming and great, especially the melody in the chorus. The piano in the background sounded extraordinary, and overall the instruments are great too. The main brass instrument bothered me very slightly, but apart from that, fantastic choice of instruments.

The transitions were very professionally done, especially the drum transitions from the alternate melody to the chorus. The structure is great too, and the chorus is repeated just the right amount of times without getting repetitive. The intro was really good, and I especially liked how you started up the drums. The ending was pretty much like the beginning, but sounded great anyway. I think the final chord you used in the ending is a tad bit too quiet, though.

The drums were just the right loudness for a song like this, and the samples are really good as well. I think you should add some hi-hats and ride cymbals playing a soft drum beat somewhere in the song where there aren't any drums playing, but that's just a suggestion. Right now, the drums are great as they are ^^.

In conclusion, you've really made a great song. I enjoyed it a lot. Congratulations on being one of the first persons who got me downloading a calm song XD.

Thank You! I'm glad you decided to check this song out, I know soft, easy-going songs like this can be a bore sometimes.

Very unique

Realxing and has heaps of original sounds to it. I can picture this playing in a game lounge. Slightly repetitive, but relaxing nevertheless.

The melody is very well done for what you were aiming for. I especially liked the one that's introduced at 3:02. The bass, although a tad repetitive, was catchy and great. Instruments are very original and extremely well chosen. Very nice use of different effects. Overall, melodies and instruments are definitely awesome.

The transitions were superb, and new melodies came in smoothly and nicely. Very good structure here too. I didn't really notice a chorus in this song, but I'm certain that the song still sounds excellent without one. I liked how you started the song, it had a nice buildup to it, although TBH, I was hoping the song didn't end with a fade. I'd suggest trying to loop it, if you're imagining it to be in a flash game or something, or if you're adamant about having a fade, you can end it with a proper ending note using the instrument in the background that appears for the first time at 0:11, or any other instrument you used, as long as it ends with a proper ending note, and then start fading the sonar-like noises that first appear at the beginnig of the song. In other words, instead of fading it completely, you can end the background instrument of 0:11 along with a percussive hit of a drum and snare, and then fade the sonar noises only. Gah, sorry for the long paragraph =_=.

Another small problem is that it's quite repetitive. It's also a long song, so by shortening some parts so that it doesn't get repetitive, you could make it more varied. There's a good amount of different melodies over here, but they're repeated too many times after they're introduced. For this song, maybe getting it down to 3 to 4 minutes could help.

I noticed some repetitiveness in the drums but I loved the samples, especially the snare and the effect you did on it. I think that snare would sound better with a bit more reverb to it, and you could add a few more samples, like some hi-hats in some parts of the song. In general, the drums were a bit too quiet too.

To summarize, it's a very relaxing song, with some very nice melodies and instruments. Transitions, structure, drum samples and intro were all excellent, it's mostly variety you need to work on a little over here. In all, good job!

Will responds:

Thanks for taking the time to write a long review, you have no idea how much it helps me. The fade was a bit of an experiment, since I've never tried one before and I thought it wouldn't hurt to try it on a laid-back, easy song like this. And thank you for noticing and countering the zero-bombing!

Kind of strange...

I'm not really a fan of this kind of music, but still, this isn't too bad...

The melodies felt a little strange. The guitar melody you did towards the end at about 3:12 was great, but apart from that, the melodies need to be a little catchier. The instruments were a little strange too, including that guitar in the background which sounded a lot like static. The guitar you used at 3:12 on the other hand was quite good. Still, when I saw the title, I was expecting different instruments that have to do with an oasis.

The transitions were OK, but I was looking for some effects like sweeps and reverse cymbals to move from one melody to another. The intro felt a little abrupt too, so maybe if you fade it in a little, or start it with a bit of a buildup, it could sound better. The ending wasn't bad, with the fade, and it fit OK with this song, but something a little more special than that would help. I don't really see what the others mean by repetitive; this isn't massively repetitive, but a few key changes and tempo changes, maybe some buildups and parts in the song that stand out more than other parts could make it more enjoyable to listen to.

The drum samples were pretty good, but the drums were what really were repetitive, and seemed randomly placed in the song, plus they were too quiet. They would sound better with some transitions and drum rolls in some parts in the song, and maybe some more samples, and percussive hits and more variety.

Overall, it seems you did work quite hard on this, and some parts in the song sound fine, but this needs some work here and there.

5/5 and 5 bombed a little because of harsh 0-bombing. Honestly, your songs get so 0-bombed O_o.

Sawdust responds:

Well, I just used chords for the static guitar in the background, which probably made it sounds like that. And as for the catchy melody thing, it's probably because I wanted to stick to a chord formula for this. The melody at the end was really a "stick out."

Yeah, I didn't actually work too much on transitions, I just built the song like a building, which probably gave it a feeling of smoothness and such.

Thanks, well appreciated, glad to see you actually take notice to my work!

I bet you're getting tired of all these 10's :P

Am I seeing right? Your sixth audio submission? Wow... that's amazing. Definitely beats my sixth -.-. Awesome job!

The melodies got locked in my head and can never get out... They're very catchy. No problem at all with the melodies; flawless and perfect. Instruments are awesome too. In short: instruments and melodies are superb.

The transitions are awesomely well done too. I liked the drum rolls you used here, and the buildups are amazing too. Good structure as well. The intro was awesome, and by far one of the catchiest melodies I've ever heard but the ending felt strange. It's nice to hear some voice samples here and there, but I think that ending the song with it just doesn't work well with me. I think you should end it with a reverse cymbal, a loud kick and crash cymbal and a long ending note with the strings.

The drum samples were amazingly varied and so were the different drum beats. The reverse cymbals you used at 2:01 were pure awesomeness too. The snares in this song sound very good too. My only complaint over here is that in some parts, the drums overpowered the melody a bit too much and the melody became a little blurry or jumpy, especially in the snare rolls.

The only problems in this song in my opinion are the overpowered drums and the ending. Other than those, this song is awesome. Keep up the amazing work; for your sixth submission it's amazing, and if you keep going on at this rate, a top 5 will be just round the corner ^^. Excellent job!

Its my sicth audio submission, so your seeing right :). I think this is my best project so far. But thanks for noticing :).

Great that you liked my melodies. Instruments are a little generic, but I didnt think about doing anything about it.

You're giving me alot of positive respons, your making me happy saying all those nice things.
However, ive not thought about another ending before. But I guess your right. The ending is not the most imporant part imo.

Ive think your the first to like the cymbals, its the only sound ive used that comes with FL I think. Mm, the melody gets a little jumpy sometimes, I think it all need some more mastering.

I actually got a little dissapointed that this song didnt make it to the top 5 this week, It was really close... However, im gonna start a new project soon and hopefully it will reach the top 5 :)

Thanks again. An awesome review you wrote here.

Wow...

8-bit never sounded this good. Excellent job on this, it's almost perfect!

The melodies are very well done, especially the main melodies that appear at 1:16 onwards. The instruments are fantastic, especally the bass that comes in at 1:02. In short, melodies and instruments are a win.

The structure of this song is quite well done, and so are the transitions. I just didn't like the transition from the intro to the drum beat at around 0:38. It's a good transition, but fading the intro out just didn't feel right. You should keep the intro going at a constant volume instead of fading it, and then at about 0:39, you end the intro with a long ending note, and while that note is playing, do the transition-buildup thing you did at 0:39, and then start fading out the intro's note you were holding and start playing the drum beat at the same time. I probably confused the heck out of you though......

The intro does have a nostalgic feel to it, but it felt a little too quiet. Other than that it was fine. The ending needs something more to it than just a fade, too.

The drums were great, but a little repetitive. Other than that, they had very good samples for 8 bit and fit awesomely with the song. I'd suggest adding a slightly quiet kick playing every 4 beats in the intro.

In general, an excellent song, which has great melodies, instruments, drums and structure, and the melodies were very well varied and cool, so it's an awesome song. Just work on the transition which I very badly explained, the variety of the drums, loudness of the intro and the fade ending. In all, amazing job. Can you PM me if you release a final version?

Lol, hilarious

Wow, this was so funny. Not bad...

The melody with the guitar was quite good, and I liked the instruments you used over here, although the electric guitar towards the end wasn't that amazing. The singing isn't that amazing, and when it gets too loud, it doesn't sound that good, but the lyrics were very funny, and most of this score is because of the lyrics.

The structure in the song is OK, but the transitions weren't done too well, especially from the calm guitar to the heavy metal guitar. The intro was quite well done, but the ending was too sudden and not really that good. I suggest ending it how you started it.

The drums weren't perfect either. The first part needs some soft drums like maybe a kick every 2 beats or some ride cymbals, and towards the end, the drums, although they sounded good, they were repetitive and the vocals covered them up too much and I barely heard them.

In all, the melodies are OK, and the lyrics are hilarious, but this needs more work in the transitions, ending and drums. Not too bad in general.

Awesome

A very well done song. Song with lyrics never really impress me, but this in my opinion was quite great.

The melodies in the background are amazing, especially the one at the intro. The instruments have very good quality and fit perfectly with the name. As for the vocals, I liked the ones you used at the beginning; they started the song greaty, but then, as Fro said, the ones in the middle of the song need some more liveliness and emotion to them.

The transitions are OK, although more drum transitions would work well, instead of making the main drum beat come in so suddenly. The structure of this song is great, and I have nothing to complain there. The intro was awesome, and the ending wasn't bad, although it might sound better if you looped it instead.

The drums were barely heard, and although the main drum beat sounds good, I couldn't hear it much and could barely distinguish the moments where there were drums and where there weren't. Still, the drums were spread out quite well, and were there when they should be and not there when they're not needed. More transitions with the drums, as said before, could help.

In general, it's an impressive song. Keep up the good work :D.

Yeah, I honestly liked how the background song that Druids-Warcry did, and I just had to rap on this with my friend. The emotion is an issue which I have to improve on and so does my friend. I will make some more music for I can show you guys what I have taken from these reviews. Thanks for the reviews, you guys are awesome.
