Good job!

The percussion was pretty good in this, and the melody was pretty catchy, although it was a little repetitive, and the length of the notes remained almost the same throughout the whole song. It's a little quiet too, you should make it a little louder. Give it a little more fullness to it as well, and vary the tempo, to match it with the name. It's a good start to a song for sure, you should add more instruments, like a piano, some strings or a synth and some effects. It isn't such a bad song so far, keep it up, and good luck finishing it! :)

Now this is epic. Amazing. Brilliant. Superb. Excellent. Great. Awesome. Too good for words. This song deserves to be worshipped. 4 minutes of pure genius. Another song that deserves to be front paged. Ultimate awesomeness. Alright, that's all I can think of, so, enough praise. Now, the critism -.-
It's very catchy, and the drums were extremely well varied and really good. The bass needed to be varied a little, but it was decent and pretty catchy. Choir voices were great and really cool, and so was the piano part at 1:34. A little repetitive, but was catchy enough to be repeated 8 times :P. Buildups in this song were great, and good job in the synths. Great effects too. The ending was pretty strange, though. Cymbals fading away by themselves don't fit in right for an ending. You should add a final loud note at the end and then the cymbals start fading. Anyway, it looks like you worked quite hard on this, since it's very hard to make 4 minutes and 15 seconds that awesome. It's an epic song, keep it up! :)

I'm still a newbie at bass, so I have things to work on there :P I only used the piano part once to prevent it from getting repetative, but it might have worked better with more variation. There *was* a note at the end, but maybe I should have made it louder or just taken the cymbal off...

Cool :)

Good job with the percussion, and the gutar was really cool. The melody was really cool, and the instruments chosen were pretty cool. They just didn't fit in with the name. Well, the guitar did, but when the electric instruments came in, it didn't really fit in with the distant feel that this song is supposed to have. at 1:16, when that high-pitched instrument came in, it was a little annoying and way too high pitched. I still liked the melody of it, and if it was a little lower pitched with the same melody, it would be great. The ending was slightly strange, but all in all it was a good song. Well, since it seems to be your second submission to NG, I'm really impressed, so I'll give you:

Thanks for your review, i really couldnt think of a name so i though distant islands was good, and its too high pitched? hmm, well ill have a look at that and see what others think! I'll change it around a bit and see how it goes, im actually gonna put up a work in progress thing on this!

Thanks again!

A creative and original idea, but needs work.

It's repetitive, and you should try and add more windows sounds, but it still is pretty cool. The main melody is catchy, and the bass is pretty cool too. You should try and add maybe the windows startup theme to start the song and the windows is shutting down theme to end the song. Also, that sound that happens when you click on a link or something which sounds a little like someone snapping fingers for percussion might not be too bad (pretty stupid, but what the heck, I got nothin'). It's still pretty good as it is, and it's a good idea, so maybe you could make another?

You, my friend, are an 8-bit MASTER

Very good job on this. The percussion was a little too simple, but the loop itself was perfect. It looped nicely, but you should try and think of a different name. Sorry I couldn't think of a suggestion, I'm hopeless at inventing 8-bit names. Still, good job, keep it up, can't wait to see your next 8-bit submissions!

Great job!

No honestly, this is really good. Awesome job with the piano and the bells were great. The percussion was a little simple. You seem to use FL Studio if I'm hearing right, lol. Anyway, it looped properly, and I really liked it. The name could use a little work, though, but apart from that, the song was great. You should add more instruments, but as it is, it's great. Good job, keep it up.

FairSquare responds:

Well, this isn't really a serious submission so i used the standard FL samples for the percussion :P
And about the name... do you have any suggestions? :P I couldn't really think of a name myself.
Thanks for the review! :-)
