Check out my new song. It's probably one of my best submissions!

Also, screenshot. No colour-coding this time :c.

And here's a screenshot of one of the string staccato patterns which took me AGES to make. Every note and note velocity was humanised. Every. Single. One.

Edit:

OK GUYS. Just wanted to mention that SBB did a massive three-account review on Sanctuary.

Seriously stuff like that deserves to be put in a picture frame and hung on a wall. But the least you can do is check out his stuff!

Edit 2:

Check it out. Camoshark and I did a collab!

redesign!! :D

Thanks for telling me. You know, in case I didn't notice.

Really thoughtful of you, man :3.

Wow. Awesome song! :D

Thank you!

howd you get your thing on the frontpage though? I don't see that option anymore.

The option was where it always was for me... Perhaps you used the frontpage option on your last post?

Don't forget you need to wait 14 days.

Also, on a totally unrelated note, Decibel showed me that collab you and him are doing the other day. If you guys don't finish it I'll hunt you both down. Just sayin'.

oh, it's only been 12 days? that must be it then. :P

oh and there will be a review on your song. Might require the use of an alt to post it though

If you actually manage to do that I will be FOREVER INDEBTED.

You'd have given me the longest review I'd have ever received.

45 seconds into the track, 3522 characters so far

...Dear God. Either you're finding a crapload of negative aspects in the song or this will be one hell of a detailed review. Nevertheless, THANK YOU for getting this far.

"Might require the use of an alt to post it though"
Understatement of the century.

I thought you were just another dipshit who thinks they can make music by just putting what sounds cool in Fruity Loops studio, but Sanctuary was an awe inspiring song, I really don't know how to critique it, but I have to saw, it really is amazing that you made that in a digital program.

Man, all of this positive feedback is really making my day!

Thanks a lot for dropping by, I'm really glad you liked the song!

done. going to bed now. well done supersteph.

Wow.

I'm not usually speechless...

I have 2 things to say:
1st, YOUR SONGS ARE AMAZING!!! "Sunctuary" gave me chills.
2nd, do you take song requests?

And oh, thanks for creditting me for making your icon and profile pic! :3

Haha thanks!

What exactly do you mean by song requests? I mean I can make music for flashes or remix particular songs if that's what you mean.

A song request to remix a song!
Just for fun. :D

Sure! I'm a little busy at the moment so I may be a little slow but what's the song? :3

Hmmm...
Rooftop Run from Sonic Unleashed or Sonic Generations! :D

Cool song!

Alright, I'll see what I can do! I'll probably go for some orchestral or something, although I might fail - I'm not very good at remixes :3.

YAY THANKS!!

No problem!

your songs are too complicated for me

...D:

i love your newest song

It is only natural to enjoy such fine art.

That screen shot in combination with your song is tempting me to buy this program... as if I have time to learn that. Wish I only had to sleep an hour a day. Be glad your young and already produce wonderful things.

Haha thanks!

FL Studio's really great. It's a bit daunting at first. If you ever need any help with it or anything, just ask!

How do you automate the volume so smoothly like that? Like the with the curves...

I don't even know if Mixcraft 5 has that feature...

Wow you use Mixcraft? You're like the first person I've heard of who uses Mixcraft and actually makes great music with it. Everyone else who has it just grabs the premade loops and makes some duplo crap.

The curve thing comes with FL Studio. Let's say I make a volume automation clip, one bar long, where the volume goes from 100% to 0% in a straight, diagonal line.

http://goo.gl/UWCc1

If I go to the middle of this line, there's a tiny circle. I can click and drag that circle up or down to make a curve.

And if I click on the circle at the start or finish of the line, I can choose the kind of curve I want it to have too.

Man I love FL Studio :3.

Wow -- really cool, dude. That could potentially make side-chaining easier and smoother for certain situations. I only get to make straight lines :(. I should double check that I can't do that -- it seems like a really basic feature, actually.

Yeah, lots of people here give Mixcraft a bad name, so I try to keep relatively quiet about using it. I steer clear of all those loops.

"Wow -- really cool, dude. That could potentially make side-chaining easier and smoother for certain situations."

I'm too much of an FL noob to know how to sidechain so I'll just smile and nod xD.

"I only get to make straight lines :(. I should double check that I can't do that -- it seems like a really basic feature, actually."

Yeah I'm surprised you haven't found any feature like it yet. I mean I know Mixcraft is generally known for its loops, but it's still a DAW I guess so I'm fairly sure it has something similar.

"Yeah, lots of people here give Mixcraft a bad name, so I try to keep relatively quiet about using it. I steer clear of all those loops."

That's great. As an audio mod I come across loads and loads of Mixcraft loops, to the point that I know nearly half of them by heart...

It's good to see someone using Mixcraft properly!
