Back from France

Posted by Step - July 14th, 2011

I'm back from that two week holiday to France (to be specific it was a week in France and a week visiting relatives and friends in England). In France we stayed in this old house with a massive view of hills upon hills of forests, and in England we stayed in a cottage in the middle of nowhere with plenty of fields and stuff.

It was great fun overall and I know I've been to England more times than I have fingers but I'll still say that England is really COOL.

(In all senses of the word.)

Anyway, now that I'm back I'll take over Review Request Club updates, work on some music for two games (a big one with the Game Jam Team I'm in, and another big one with BanglaBoy96) and a podcast.

I'll also finish the track I'm making for FatKidWitAJetPak's charity album (which is coming along nicely but I doubt it'll make it in) and I'll continue running the NGADM. We still need a judge and as many backup judges as possible too, so don't forget to ask me if you can judge if you're up for it and you're not interested in taking part.

That's about it. So yeah, welcome back to me :3.

You didn't forget :D I will be absent on Wednesday next as I'll be returning from my holidays. (Just for 2 days now)

P.S Your friend ToastedToastyToast is helping out big time so thumbs up XD

Of course I didn't forget :P.

So I guess I'm working with Toast again without even knowing he was on the team, haha. I'll PM you asking for a few more details on the music you need made sometime soon!

Welcome back Supersteph! :)

Don't forget to give the mankind a gift of...humility...by...giving some visit around msn. :D

When I feel like it :3.

But yeah true sometimes I forget I have MSN.

O hai!

Glad to see you enjoyed your trip, make sure to pop on MSN some time soon, it's been since forever we've actually said anything!

Hai!

Yeah I know. Like I said to Spy I do sometimes forget I have MSN :3.

Also you French guys talk way too quickly. Just sayin'.

England MUST be cool...

Hi Steph :)

Hey :D.

Wow I did not noticed! Your Game Jam team have Funkycaveman, we worked together already many times (for unfinished games through) he also was with me in the second game jam. He is pretty good!

Yep! We haven't heard from him in a while though so Toast is doing the art right now...

Dammit you're not dead.

Aw, I'm sorry!

Welcome back!

Were you disappointed that everyone wasn't walking around naked in Europe?

Not really but I was disappointed that everyone in France was speaking French. Seriously, those guys speak so quickly I think their life goes in fast-forward...

I saw your news. So you were in France. Nice job! I'm french and I live in Orléans (45) but my family stays in Cergy (95). (I say Paris in my profile because nobody knows another city than Paris ^^).
Where were you? I know somewhere you can have plenty of hills of forests, it's maybe in the 77. But I just randomly say it.
- Et tu parles français aussi ou bien c'est juste comme ça que tu viens en France, juste pour visiter?
[ And do you really speak French or this trip was just about taking some pictures and pay a visit to some person? ]
Hope you liked it ^^

You could even have sampled some french voices in the street (that's what we call "micro-trottoir") and put them in a new music. Sometime this concept is really nice. And both speakers and recorders spent a good time doing this.

Salut! =)
Mister M (Monsieur M)

Hey!

Yeah it was a fun holiday. We stayed in a place called Saint Cezaire (I think that's how it's spelled but French spelling was never my strong point...).

I do speak a bit of French. Definitely not enough to keep up a fluent conversation in French but I didn't study French for 5 years for nothing :P. We just went to France for a casual holiday though - as you said. To take pictures and pay visits to a few friends.

That sampling idea is good but unfortunately I don't have a way to record other than the sound recorder on my mobile, and that isn't very good :P.
